Scabs / crusts usually fall off around day 6 – 7 (for face and neck). It is extremely important NOT to pick / scrub these scabs off as there will be a chance of pigmentation / scarring.

Again this is a general guideline and differs with each candidate.

If you have any health issues, there might be a delay in the healing process.

It is recommended to do it every 4 weeks.

PLASMA FIBROBLAST STAGES OF HEALING AFTER TREATMENT

Plasma Fibroblasts are responsible for collagen production in your skin and it can only be produced when swelling takes place.

So Swelling is a good thing! DO NOT PANIC!

You can take an anti-histamine to assist with this.

What to expect:

Day 1

Keep your head propped up with pillows. Do not lay horizontal.

The swelling will be worse in the mornings.

You may find it difficult to open you eyes in the morning if your eye area has been treated, but it will subside during the day.

Your skin will feel like it has been sunburnt and will be tight.

Day 2

The swelling will peak around day 2 – 3.

Remember that swelling in the morning is worse. Swelling can also spread to under the eyes, this is normal. The fluids from the upper eye will drain to the lower eye area. You will still experience discomfort on day 2.

Day 3

The swelling will start to subside and the “dots” will darken.

Day 4

You may still experience some swelling around the eye area.

Pain and discomfort should have subsided.

Dots should start to dry and your skin should feel tight.

Day 5

No more swelling and scabs will be present.

Remember not to pick at the scabs and persist with the aftercare recommendations.

Day 6 – 10

Scabs will start to fall off on their own.

It is normal for the skin underneath to be pink and peeling, the healing will now be from within and will take a few weeks to heal.

Weeks 2 – 8

After the scabs have fallen off, your skin may be tender or textured for a few days / weeks.

Once your skin isn’t tender, you can start using a gentle exfoliator to slough off peeling skin.

You may also use a healing serums, lotions and make up.

As each day passes your skin will return to a healthy pink colour and improved texture.

Remember it will take 12 weeks for the healing process to cycle through completely and for skin to be refreshed and for healing to complete. (You may continue to see results for up to 6 months.)

Depending on laxity and desired results, you may want to have multiple treatments on the same area. Areas may be treated every 3 months to let the collagen heal and turn over.
